'Boreal Nature' is a unique spray polyurethane foam — superior thermal resistance, excellent air-barrier qualities and integral resistance to vapour and moisture infiltration, all with the scent of lavender. It is also a tested radon barrier.
Unlike other insulation products, 'Boreal Nature' creates a tenacious bond to most construction materials. It can be applied to roofs, walls, foundations and slab-on-grade — even the most difficult in-situ conditions — staying in place for the lifetime of your building. It will not disintegrate over time, withstands severe weather, and in most cases stays intact even after a flood.
GENYK is made in Canada, by Canadians, for the Canadian environment — a sustainable product containing renewable and recyclable raw materials.
'Boreal Nature' exceeds the requirements of the CAN/ULC s705.1 Material Standard. GENYK only offers its foam insulations to the highest-quality installers, and every contractor who sprays 'Boreal Nature' must undergo thorough training.
Genyk Boréal is a Canadian-manufactured polyurethane spray foam formulated for the temperature range this country actually experiences rather than a milder average climate. Using a product made and tested here matters in a market where the winter design temperature sits well below freezing for months at a time.
Older generations of spray foam relied on blowing agents with a very high global warming potential, which offset a meaningful share of the emissions the insulation went on to save. Boréal uses a low-GWP agent, which substantially reduces the impact of the installation itself. If you are comparing quotes, it is worth asking every contractor which generation of product they are pricing, because the difference is significant and it is not always volunteered.
Spray foam performance depends as much on the installer as the product. The two components must be at the correct temperature and pressure and applied in passes of the right thickness, or the foam will not achieve its rated properties. Our installers are trained and certified on the product we use, and our equipment is maintained and calibrated accordingly.
From energy efficiency to structural integrity, spray foam delivers lasting value for industrial spaces.
