Industrial

Durable spray foam for industrial applications.

There are many uses for spray polyurethane foam insulation in the industrial sector. Some of the areas that benefit include:

Industrial

Industrial Applications

  • Tank and storage vessels
  • Rail car insulation
  • Roofing
  • Pipes and ducts
  • Well heads
  • Tanks
  • Vessels
  • Skid packages
  • Underground piping
  • Buildings
  • Sea cans

Built for Demanding Environments

Industrial buildings put insulation under pressure that a house never will: temperature swings, vibration, humidity, wash-downs and long unsupported spans. Closed-cell spray foam handles those conditions because it bonds directly to the substrate and forms a rigid, closed structure that will not sag, settle or absorb water the way batt insulation does.

  • Adheres to steel, concrete, block and wood
  • Will not slump or settle in tall wall cavities
  • Resists water absorption in wash-down areas
  • Seals around pipes, conduit and structural penetrations
  • Stays put through vibration and thermal cycling

Condensation and Process Control

In many industrial buildings the real problem is not heat loss but condensation. Warm humid air meeting a cold steel deck or an uninsulated tank produces dripping, corrosion and product loss. Applied at sufficient thickness, closed-cell foam acts as its own vapour retarder and keeps the dew point inside the insulation rather than on the surface, which stops the drip at source instead of managing it afterwards.

Tanks, Vessels and Process Equipment

We also insulate tanks, silos, vessels and ductwork where maintaining a stable product temperature matters. Because the foam is sprayed in place it follows curved and irregular surfaces without the gaps you get from rigid board, and it does not need a separate mechanical fastening system that would create its own thermal bridges.

Minimal Disruption to Production

We plan industrial work around shutdowns, shift patterns and access constraints, and we co-ordinate with your other trades so the insulation goes in at the right point in the sequence. Our installers are certified and fully insured, and we supply the product documentation your maintenance and compliance records need.
